By registering for an account, accessing the Platform, browsing listings, communicating with users, creating bookings, submitting declarations, or otherwise using Share Kilo services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.
1. Platform Overview and Nature of Services
Share Kilo is a peer-to-peer online marketplace that enables independent users to connect for parcel transportation using unused luggage space during personal travel.
The Platform allows:
- Travelers to publish available luggage capacity on upcoming trips,
- Senders to search available routes and request parcel transport,
- Users to communicate directly through the Platform,
- Booking coordination between independent parties,
- Administrative moderation and dispute handling support.
Share Kilo operates solely as a technology intermediary.
The Platform does not:
- transport parcels,
- operate as a courier service,
- act as a freight forwarder,
- own or lease transportation vehicles,
- employ Travelers,
- physically handle parcels,
- warehouse goods,
- inspect every item transported,
- guarantee transportation outcomes.
All physical transportation arrangements occur exclusively between independent users acting on their own behalf.
Nothing within these Terms creates:
- an employment relationship,
- partnership,
- agency relationship,
- joint venture,
- franchise relationship, between Share Kilo and any user.
Users remain fully independent parties at all times.
2. Marketplace-Only Disclaimer and Liability Position
Users expressly acknowledge that Share Kilo functions exclusively as a neutral online marketplace that facilitates introductions and communication between independent users.
Share Kilo is not responsible for:
- the conduct of Travelers,
- the conduct of Senders,
- accuracy of listings,
- truthfulness of declarations,
- customs compliance,
- legality of transported items,
- condition of parcels,
- successful delivery,
- payment disputes,
- transportation delays,
- lost items,
- stolen items,
- damaged goods,
- airline baggage handling,
- denied boarding,
- customs seizures,
- airport inspections,
- import restrictions,
- export restrictions,
- identity misrepresentation,
- fraudulent conduct,
- third-party criminal activity.
Users accept that all transactions involve inherent risks associated with peer-to-peer arrangements and international transportation.
By using the Platform, users voluntarily assume those risks.
Share Kilo does not provide:
- shipping insurance,
- cargo guarantees,
- customs brokerage services,
- legal advice,
- tax advice,
- transportation licensing services.
No statement made by Share Kilo shall be interpreted as a warranty regarding:
- safety,
- legality,
- reliability,
- user identity,
- shipment success,
- customs approval,
- parcel condition.
3. Eligibility and Legal Capacity
To use Share Kilo, users must:
- be at least eighteen (18) years old,
- possess legal authority to enter binding agreements,
- comply with applicable laws,
- provide truthful information during registration,
- maintain updated account information.
Users may not:
- create accounts using false identities,
- impersonate others,
- create accounts on behalf of another person without authorization,
- use automated systems to access the Platform unlawfully,
- create duplicate accounts to avoid restrictions.
Share Kilo reserves the right to:
- request additional verification,
- suspend suspicious accounts,
- reject registrations,
- restrict access in certain jurisdictions,
- terminate users violating eligibility requirements.
Use of the Platform may be restricted in jurisdictions where peer-to-peer parcel transport services are prohibited by law.
Users are solely responsible for determining whether use of the Platform is lawful within their jurisdiction.
4. User Accounts and Security Responsibilities
Users must register an account to access certain Platform services.
During registration, users may be required to provide:
- full legal name,
- email address,
- phone number,
- country of residence,
- profile photo,
- travel information,
- identity verification documents.
Users agree to:
- maintain accurate account information,
- protect account credentials,
- keep passwords confidential,
- notify Share Kilo immediately regarding unauthorized access,
- log out securely after sessions where appropriate.
Users remain fully responsible for all activities occurring under their account credentials unless prohibited by law.
Share Kilo may maintain logs relating to:
- login activity,
- IP addresses,
- device identifiers,
- browser information,
- booking activity,
- consent records,
- account actions.
Users may not:
- transfer accounts,
- sell accounts,
- share credentials,
- permit unauthorized account access.
Share Kilo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts presenting security risks.
5. Identity Verification and Trust Systems
To improve trust and reduce fraudulent activity, Share Kilo may implement verification procedures including:
- email verification,
- phone verification,
- SMS confirmation,
- government-issued ID review,
- selfie verification,
- manual admin review,
- traveler badges,
- profile completeness indicators.
Verification systems are designed to reduce risk but do not eliminate it.
Verification status does not constitute:
- endorsement,
- certification,
- guarantee of conduct,
- warranty of legality,
- warranty of reliability.
Users remain solely responsible for evaluating the risks associated with interacting with others.
Share Kilo may:
- reject verification submissions,
- revoke verification badges,
- request updated documentation,
- suspend accounts during investigations.
Users consent to the storage and processing of submitted verification materials according to the Privacy Policy.
6. Traveler Obligations and Responsibilities
Travelers using the Platform agree that they:
- act independently,
- transport parcels voluntarily,
- remain legally responsible for luggage under their name,
- must comply with airline rules,
- must comply with customs regulations,
- must comply with import/export laws.
Travelers agree not to:
- transport suspicious items,
- accept sealed packages without inspection,
- transport prohibited goods,
- misrepresent trip details,
- engage in fraudulent conduct.
Travelers are encouraged to:
- inspect parcel contents directly,
- verify Sender identity,
- request parcel details,
- refuse suspicious requests,
- maintain communication records.
Travelers acknowledge that airlines, customs agencies, and border authorities may inspect transported luggage at any time.
Share Kilo bears no responsibility for:
- customs delays,
- airline baggage restrictions,
- fines,
- seizures,
- inspections,
- penalties imposed on Travelers.
7. Sender Obligations and Responsibilities
Senders agree that all parcel information submitted through the Platform must be truthful, accurate, and complete.
Senders remain solely responsible for:
- parcel contents,
- packaging quality,
- customs declarations,
- legal compliance,
- destination-country restrictions,
- prohibited item compliance.
Senders agree not to:
- conceal parcel contents,
- mislabel items,
- pressure Travelers into unlawful conduct,
- bypass customs laws,
- transport prohibited items.
Senders acknowledge that Travelers may refuse parcels for any reason before transportation.
Senders further acknowledge that customs authorities may inspect, seize, delay, or reject parcels regardless of user intentions.
Share Kilo is not responsible for customs outcomes.
8. Prohibited Items Policy
Users may not use the Platform to transport, advertise, request, exchange, or facilitate shipment of prohibited items.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
- illegal narcotics,
- controlled substances,
- weapons,
- firearms,
- explosives,
- ammunition,
- hazardous chemicals,
- toxic substances,
- flammable materials,
- counterfeit products,
- stolen property,
- human remains,
- biological samples,
- live animals,
- illegal wildlife products,
- restricted pharmaceuticals,
- undeclared currency,
- negotiable instruments,
- precious metals in bulk,
- pornography prohibited by law,
- sanctioned goods,
- embargoed materials,
- items prohibited by destination-country customs laws.
Users further agree not to transport:
- unidentified powders,
- unmarked liquids,
- suspicious electronics,
- restricted food products,
- improperly packaged perishables.
Share Kilo reserves the right to:
- remove listings,
- freeze accounts,
- cancel bookings,
- retain records,
- cooperate with authorities,
- disclose relevant information where legally required.
Violation of prohibited items rules may result in permanent account termination.
9. Parcel Declaration Requirements
Before booking confirmation, Senders may be required to complete a legally binding Parcel Declaration Form.
By submitting declarations, Senders certify that:
- parcel contents are lawful,
- information provided is accurate,
- prohibited items are absent,
- customs obligations have been reviewed,
- Travelers may inspect contents before transport.
Declaration records may include:
- timestamps,
- IP addresses,
- device information,
- booking IDs,
- user identifiers,
- uploaded evidence.
Users acknowledge that electronic declarations may serve as legally admissible evidence during:
- disputes,
- investigations,
- legal proceedings,
- law enforcement requests.
False declarations may result in:
- account bans,
- forfeiture of payments,
- reporting to authorities,
- legal claims.
10. Booking Workflow and Transaction Structure
The Platform facilitates peer-to-peer booking coordination.
Typical transaction flow may include:
- Traveler listing publication,
- Sender booking request,
- Parcel declaration completion,
- Traveler review,
- Booking approval or rejection,
- Payment processing or confirmation,
- Parcel handoff,
- Transit status updates,
- Delivery confirmation,
- Rating and review submission.
Booking statuses may include:
- Pending,
- Approved,
- In Transit,
- Delivered,
- Completed,
- Cancelled,
- Disputed.
Share Kilo reserves the right to:
- modify workflows,
- update status structures,
- introduce verification checkpoints,
- implement fraud prevention controls,
- temporarily restrict transactions.
The Platform does not guarantee booking availability or transaction completion.
11. Delivery Confirmation and Verification Codes
Delivery confirmation may require the use of unique verification codes generated by the Platform.
Users agree:
- codes must not be shared prematurely,
- delivery confirmation should occur only after successful handoff,
- fraudulent confirmation activity is prohibited.
Delivery confirmation records may be stored together with:
- timestamps,
- photos,
- IP logs,
- account activity records.
Improper use of delivery codes may result in:
- payment disputes,
- account restrictions,
- fraud investigations.
Share Kilo bears no responsibility for losses arising from users voluntarily sharing verification codes before delivery completion.
12. Payment Services and Financial Limitations
Payments on the Platform may be facilitated through:
- Stripe,
- PayPal,
- manual payment links,
- offline arrangements,
- external third-party providers.
Share Kilo is not:
- a bank,
- financial institution,
- escrow company,
- licensed money transmitter,
- insurance provider.
Users acknowledge that payment processors operate independently and may impose:
- fees,
- delays,
- restrictions,
- compliance checks,
- chargeback procedures.
Share Kilo does not guarantee:
- successful payment processing,
- uninterrupted payment services,
- currency exchange outcomes,
- banking compatibility.
Users remain responsible for:
- taxes,
- reporting obligations,
- transaction fees,
- local financial regulations.
Platform service fees may be deducted from transactions where applicable.
Share Kilo reserves the right to modify fee structures at any time.
13. Refunds, Cancellations, and Chargebacks
Refund eligibility may depend on:
- booking status,
- cancellation timing,
- dispute findings,
- payment processor policies.
Travelers may decline booking requests before approval without penalty.
Approved bookings cancelled by Travelers may result in:
- refunds,
- account warnings,
- administrative review.
Users agree not to:
- abuse chargeback systems,
- submit fraudulent payment disputes,
- intentionally bypass Platform dispute procedures.
Share Kilo reserves the right to:
- suspend accounts involved in suspicious payment activity,
- dispute chargebacks with payment processors,
- retain evidence for financial investigations.
Payment processor decisions remain outside Share Kilo’s control.
14. Messaging Systems and Platform Communications
Share Kilo may provide internal messaging tools allowing Travelers and Senders to communicate regarding bookings, routes, delivery arrangements, parcel details, and related transaction matters.
Users agree that all communications conducted through the Platform must remain:
- lawful,
- respectful,
- accurate,
- non-threatening,
- free from harassment or abuse.
Users may not use Platform messaging systems to:
- engage in fraud,
- impersonate others,
- send malicious links,
- distribute harmful software,
- solicit unlawful activity,
- threaten or intimidate other users,
- share prohibited content.
For safety, moderation, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and legal compliance purposes, Share Kilo may store:
- messages,
- timestamps,
- communication metadata,
- delivery confirmations,
- account activity logs.
Users acknowledge that administrators may review communications where reasonably necessary to:
- investigate disputes,
- investigate abuse,
- respond to law enforcement requests,
- enforce Platform rules,
- detect suspicious activity.
Share Kilo does not guarantee:
- uninterrupted messaging availability,
- message delivery,
- storage permanence,
- communication confidentiality beyond reasonable technical safeguards.
Users should avoid sharing unnecessary personal, financial, or sensitive information through the Platform.
15. Ratings, Reviews, and Reputation Systems
The Platform may include public reputation systems allowing users to rate and review one another after completed bookings.
Users agree that reviews and ratings must:
- reflect genuine experiences,
- remain truthful,
- avoid defamatory statements,
- avoid abusive language,
- avoid unlawful content.
Users may not:
- post fake reviews,
- manipulate ratings,
- coordinate fraudulent feedback,
- threaten users into altering reviews,
- exchange compensation for positive reviews.
Share Kilo reserves the right to:
- moderate reviews,
- remove abusive content,
- investigate suspicious rating patterns,
- suspend users abusing reputation systems.
Review moderation decisions remain at the sole discretion of Share Kilo.
Users acknowledge that:
- public ratings may affect transaction opportunities,
- low ratings may trigger account review,
- repeated complaints may result in restrictions or suspension.
Review content may remain visible even after account closure where legally permitted.
16. Photo Evidence, Uploaded Content, and Digital Records
The Platform may require or permit users to upload:
- parcel photos,
- handoff confirmation photos,
- delivery photos,
- identity documents,
- profile images,
- booking evidence,
- declarations,
- written descriptions.
Users confirm that they possess all necessary rights to upload submitted materials.
Users may not upload:
- unlawful content,
- infringing content,
- misleading images,
- violent or abusive material,
- prohibited content.
Uploaded evidence may be used for:
- dispute resolution,
- fraud prevention,
- compliance reviews,
- moderation decisions,
- legal investigations.
Share Kilo may maintain digital records including:
- timestamps,
- IP addresses,
- booking histories,
- review histories,
- login activity,
- consent logs,
- verification records.
Users acknowledge that electronic records may serve as evidence during:
- disputes,
- payment investigations,
- legal proceedings,
- regulatory inquiries.
Share Kilo reserves the right to remove uploaded content violating Platform rules.
17. Customs Compliance and International Shipping Responsibilities
Users acknowledge that international parcel transportation involves customs regulations that vary significantly by jurisdiction.
Travelers and Senders remain solely responsible for:
- customs declarations,
- import duties,
- export restrictions,
- taxes,
- restricted-item compliance,
- documentation accuracy,
- destination-country regulations.
Share Kilo does not:
- provide customs brokerage services,
- guarantee customs clearance,
- advise users regarding import legality,
- guarantee acceptance by border authorities.
Users acknowledge that customs agencies may:
- inspect parcels,
- delay deliveries,
- seize goods,
- impose fines,
- reject shipments,
- request documentation.
Share Kilo bears no responsibility for:
- customs delays,
- confiscated items,
- denied imports,
- regulatory penalties,
- cross-border legal violations.
Users are encouraged to independently review destination-country laws before transporting items.
18. Platform Availability and Technical Limitations
Share Kilo works to maintain stable Platform access but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Users acknowledge that services may occasionally become unavailable due to:
- maintenance,
- software updates,
- server failures,
- cybersecurity incidents,
- third-party provider outages,
- internet disruptions,
- force majeure events.
The Platform may periodically:
- change features,
- remove functions,
- update interfaces,
- modify workflows,
- introduce new verification requirements.
Share Kilo reserves the right to:
- suspend access,
- limit functionality,
- restrict certain regions,
- conduct emergency maintenance, without prior notice where necessary.
The Platform is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis without warranties regarding:
- uptime,
- data retention,
- feature continuity,
- technical compatibility,
- uninterrupted operation.
Users remain responsible for maintaining their own:
- internet access,
- compatible devices,
- secure connections,
- backup records where necessary.
19. Intellectual Property Rights
All Platform materials including:
- branding,
- logos,
- interfaces,
- software,
- workflows,
- graphics,
- databases,
- designs,
- source code,
- written content, remain the property of Share Kilo or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
Users receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the Platform solely for personal and lawful purposes.
Users may not:
- reproduce Platform code,
- scrape data unlawfully,
- copy designs,
- reverse engineer systems,
- create derivative services,
- exploit Platform materials commercially without authorization.
User-submitted content remains owned by users; however, users grant Share Kilo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- store,
- display,
- reproduce,
- process,
- moderate,
- distribute, such content for Platform operations, legal compliance, moderation, and promotional purposes.
20. Privacy, Data Collection, and International Processing
Use of the Platform is also governed by the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
By using Share Kilo, users consent to the collection and processing of information including:
- account information,
- booking activity,
- verification records,
- communication logs,
- payment references,
- IP addresses,
- device information,
- uploaded evidence,
- cookies and analytics data.
Because the Platform operates internationally, user data may be processed or stored across multiple jurisdictions.
Users acknowledge that privacy laws may vary between countries.
Share Kilo may share information where reasonably necessary to:
- comply with legal obligations,
- investigate fraud,
- respond to law enforcement requests,
- enforce Terms,
- protect Platform security.
Users retain rights available under applicable privacy laws, subject to lawful limitations.

21. Suspension, Restrictions, and Account Termination
Share Kilo reserves the right to:
- suspend accounts,
- limit functionality,
- remove listings,
- freeze transactions,
- terminate access, where reasonably necessary to protect users, the Platform, or third parties.
Reasons for suspension may include:
- prohibited item activity,
- fraud,
- abusive behavior,
- false declarations,
- identity concerns,
- repeated disputes,
- payment abuse,
- customs violations,
- unlawful conduct,
- suspicious activity patterns.
Investigations may involve:
- evidence review,
- communication analysis,
- transaction history review,
- identity verification requests.
Users acknowledge that investigations may occur without advance notice where necessary for security or legal reasons.
Termination of accounts does not eliminate obligations relating to:
- completed transactions,
- disputes,
- payment claims,
- legal compliance,
- indemnification obligations.
Certain records may remain retained after termination for:
- fraud prevention,
- audit purposes,
- legal compliance,
- dispute documentation.
22. Dispute Resolution and Administrative Handling
Users are encouraged to attempt good-faith resolution of disagreements directly before escalating disputes.
Where disputes are submitted through the Platform, users may provide:
- written explanations,
- parcel evidence,
- communication records,
- delivery photos,
- payment references,
- declaration records.
Administrators may review:
- booking histories,
- uploaded evidence,
- timestamps,
- verification records,
- communication logs,
- account histories.
Share Kilo acts solely as a facilitating intermediary during disputes.
The Platform:
- does not act as a court,
- does not act as an arbitrator between users unless explicitly stated,
- does not guarantee compensation outcomes,
- does not guarantee recovery of losses.
Administrative decisions may include:
- warning issuance,
- refunds where applicable,
- account restrictions,
- suspension decisions,
- closure of disputes.
Users acknowledge that evidence available to administrators may be incomplete or disputed.
Share Kilo reserves final discretion regarding internal moderation outcomes unless prohibited by law.
23. Arbitration Clause and Governing Law
Except where prohibited by applicable law, disputes arising from:
- Platform use,
- these Terms,
- transactions between users,
- account restrictions,
- moderation actions, shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court proceedings.
Users waive participation rights in:
- class actions,
- consolidated proceedings,
- representative lawsuits,
- jury trials where waivable.
Arbitration proceedings shall:
- remain confidential where legally permitted,
- occur in English unless otherwise required,
- follow applicable arbitration procedures determined by Share Kilo.
Nothing within this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief regarding:
- intellectual property misuse,
- unlawful activity,
- security threats.
These Terms shall be governed by laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Share Kilo operates, excluding conflict-of-law principles.
Mandatory consumer protection rights available under local law may still apply where legally required.
24. Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Final Provisions
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Share Kilo and its owners, employees, affiliates, contractors, developers, and partners shall not be liable for:
- indirect damages,
- consequential damages,
- reputational harm,
- emotional distress,
- lost profits,
- business interruption,
- customs penalties,
- parcel losses,
- shipment delays,
- fraudulent conduct by users,
- payment processor failures,
- data loss,
- technical outages.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, Share Kilo’s total aggregate liability shall not exceed:
- the amount of service fees paid to Share Kilo relating to the relevant booking, or
- EUR €100, whichever amount is lower.
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Share Kilo against claims, damages, liabilities, costs, penalties, and legal expenses arising from:
- misuse of the Platform,
- unlawful conduct,
- prohibited item transportation,
- customs violations,
- breaches of these Terms,
- disputes with other users.
If any provision within these Terms is found unenforceable, remaining provisions shall remain enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Failure by Share Kilo to enforce any provision shall not constitute waiver of rights.
These Terms, together with:
- the Privacy Policy,
- Cookie Policy,
- Refund & Dispute Policy,
- Prohibited Items Policy,
- Parcel Declaration requirements, constitute the complete agreement between users and Share Kilo regarding Platform use.
